Ender's Game is really good, but the later books in the series get into 2001 mindbending territory. If you like hard sci-fi, there's an old book called "I Have No Mouth, But I Must Scream" that might suit your interests.

Wow! What a difference. This is such a fun photo. Too often we take photos of people straight on, but the POV of this one makes the photo much more interesting. Beautifully done, Rob!

@Eric That is probably true and has had some influence on me. I'm definitely more on the side of states-rights then anarchy and by no stretch would I classify myself as a pure blood libertarian. I do favor it though.

@Jimmy (Do I still get to call you that?) I'm not surprised that you are surprised by my leanings towards Ron Paul. I'm in the early stages of this process. It is a good conversation for us to have over coffee sometime. Not so good for the blogosphere. Especially, on what I hope is going to be a more tech related blog. It is an amazing contrast in value isn't it. Take care brother.

First: I am surprised that you are a Ron Paul supporter.
Second: $0.73 per vote is amazing. I do think it shows that personal attention is more effective than TV/ Radio ads. I think this could be a lesson for a business class also.

I think libertarianism is fairly common in the tech community. Comes naturally from the hacker mindset and the autonomy & decentralization of the internet.
